For the 2009 Manaiakalani Film Festival we chose to produce a music video we have called "Black or White". We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
This is record of my learning in the time I was at Tamaki Intermediate School. This blog is now closed for new posts and comments. However, you are most welcome to read it.

Matilda's Term 3 Reflection
During Term 3 we have had a lot of Sports Trials just as Basketball Trials Volley Ball Trials which was loads of fun but even though I never made it into any teams I still enjoy watching them practice.
Technology was super fun because I learned how to play the guitar and the piano. We made a song up with actions and it took us about nine takes which was quite funny but in the end we finished and turned out perfect. Thanks to Miss Decker I now know how to play a guitar and piano.
Mid-Year reports got sended out and I felt really nervous when it came because I thought it was going to be a bad report but when mum told me how I did I was not impressed but it was and effort. Next time I’ll do better in READING!
Term 3 was the BEST! Even though camp got cancelled and I wasn’t here some of the days but it was heaps of fun and I enjoyed it.

Ship For World Youth!!
The Tamaki Intermediate Year 8 classes were very lucky to have the Ship For World Youth come to our school. They were young people of different nationalities from all parts of the world. They came to share with us their language, culture and interests. Some students from Room 15 wanted to share what they learnt. Check it Out!
P.S. This is not Room 8 but Room 15, Year 8

Duffy Role Model Assembly

We waited anxiously to see what was going to happen??
They arrived. They walked up and sat down on stage and waited very patiently until our head boy Tipiloma introduced them.
Joshua Williams was first up.
He first spoke about reading books and I thought it was going to be boring until he kind of made it sound COOL! He asked us, “Do you want to see a trick ?”
We said,” YES !” I was wondering what is going to happen. He jumped and did a back flip, not that surprising I was thinking, but still I went with it and clapped. Joshua Williams then sang, it was pretty awesome. He reminded us to “Read to Succeed”. His message was,”It’s cool to read”.”It’s cool to achieve”.
Tipiloma thanked Joshua Williams and the other guests. Our principal Mr Horan then presented our Duffy Books.
I think it was a great assembly because we had fun and got books to read.
