We thought term 3 was the best term so far. We had some good times and really enjoyed learning about different cultures. We studied Maori, Polynesian and even Japanese culture.
In week 5 the Pacifica drama group came to our school to perform. It was really cool. They performed dances from Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga and even Hawaii. Some of the students from our school got on stage to perform with them.
This term we have been learning about Japan and we have found out some very interesting facts about Japan. We are even writing to pen pals in a Japanese school! They sent us letters a few weeks ago answering all the questions we had about Japanese life. In week 8 we also got to make sushi as a class. It was delicious!
This term we have also been working on our physical fitness. We have been training hard for cross country and working on our large ball skills in house sports. Two people from room 11 came in first on the beep test! We also did really well on the cross country run.
For next term, we want our goal to be to work hard as a class and achieve things we did not achieve this term.
