How to make a lemon battery

Room One made a battery from four lemons. We used the lemons to light a small LED (Light Emitting Device). To do this experiment at home you need lemons, a LED, some wire, copper nails or pennys and zinc nails. The reason that the lemons can work as a battery is they contain acid. Please view our photostory to learn about the magic in our experiment. Edmond and Braxton Room One

That was most informative Room 1. You can do a lot more with 4 lemons than I would have imagined - though I suppose you could still cook them afterwards!
