A helmet is a strong covering worn to protect your head when you ride a bike. Helmets come in many shapes, sizes and colours to choose from.

We wear a helmet while riding a bike so that we don’t hurt ourselves seriously. Wearing a helmet is just like wearing a seatbelt in a car.

Wearing a helmet saves our head and can even save our lives. The helmet takes the critical damage for you.

If you don’t wear a helmet you can get real serious injuries. You might die if you ride fast and crash into an object and hit your head on the object or on concrete roads.

So remember, always wear a helmet when you ride your bike.

Earths Rhyme

We have been busy learning about sustainability in class. We were given a challenge to create a song or poem about planet Earth. Here is our work, we hope you like it.

Can you help planet Earth survive?
Keep the environment clean during life.
Put your rubbish, paper, and food scraps away,
Or else planet earth is going to fade today.

When you plant trees it gives you food and wood,
People would and could so you should.
Use the same bottle every day,
It saves money and keeps earth awake.

If you’re not going far don’t use the car.
Go for a walk that’s who you are.
Me, myself, is planet Earth.
Protect me I am your turf.

Just so Story- How the Lion got its Mane

Long ago when the dinosaurs were alive there were Lions without manes.
One day they were all walking around being confused about who was a boy and who was a girl.

The lions had a meeting and they decided to make manes using hair. They all looked around and could not find anything suitable to use. They waited for a while.
Then the dinosaurs died and Humans came to earth. The lions stole hair from the humans and made manes with the hair. Now they are not confused...ad that's how the lions got their manes.

Akuma conquers Anubis

In a far away land called Anubis there live three good super heroes. They protect the lovely land of Anubis. Their names are Iceman, Crypto & Krash. Their arch enemies are Lava girl, Kurk and their evil leader Akuma. Akuma wants to conquer Anubis.

This is the 3rd year Akuma has tried to take it over. However the goodies keep stopping them. Now Akuma is growing stronger than ever. They might not be able to stop Akuma with his evil powers, he is becoming IMMORTAL. He has max muscle, flying abilities, fire balls, eye rays and a super punch.

Iceman, Crypto & Krash were walking around protecting the city when they saw the baddies coming towards them. They started to fight. Crypto versus Akuma, Iceman versus Lava girl and Krash versus Kurk. Iceman dodged one of Lava girls fireballs then froze her & smashed her to pieces. Krash and Kurk fought. Krash span at Kurk then tried to body slam him but he missed. Kurk was an earth bender. He lifted up rocks and threw them at Krash.

Crypto and Akuma fought. Akuma struck him with his eye rays, flew up and did a fireball then super punched him with a blow that killed him. Then he did the same to Iceman.
In the end the bad guys won and took over Anubis. It is not such a nice place to visit now.
