Interview with Ivan Cleary

Yesterday Ivan Cleary came to our class and we asked him some questions here are his answers.

What team did you for before the warriors?
I was born in Sydney and I played for The Roosters.

Who do you admire?
I admire lots of people but mostly I admire my family.

What movie do you like?
I like a movie called Seven Pounds starring Will Smith.

Are you and Queensland or New South Wales supporter?
New South Wales!

What is your worst reaction when the warriors lose?
I get a bit angry and grumpy around the house.

Who is your favorite player in the warriors?
I can not play favorites but Kevin Lock is doing really well at the moment.

What was your position when you played for the warriors?
Fullback and sometimes I played as centre.

If you weren’t a coach what would you be doing?
Probably a Property Valuer.

Do you have any tips to get into the warriors?
Train hard, listen to your parents and teachers and practice very hard.

What did you have to do to become a rugby coach?
I played a long time, I also did a few courses. I was probably at the right place and right time.

How long is your contract for?
Another three years.

How many games have you played when you were in the warriors?
About 53 and I have coached 90 games as well.
